The redesigned logo takes cues from the past, but has modern edge. It speaks to Steuben's craftsmanship and American roots, but has a refined and worldly appearance. Using the typeface Gotham as my basis, I sheered the edges to give it a faceted look, inspired by the edges of cut glass. The icon is the combination of tools used in glassmaking, calipers and glass sheers, overlapped to create a crest. The color pallet takes its cues from the hot and cold process of creating glass.
In application, the new logo and color palette were applied to catalogs, stationary, various sized custom luxury boxes, shopping bags, advertising, and the website.
